Removing a hot tub is a job most people only do once, and it is harder than it looks. We remove hot tubs and old spas across Metro Vancouver — the British Properties in West Vancouver, Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam, and backyards across South Surrey and White Rock — including units on raised decks and tight side yards.
Once the power is off, we cut the shell down to manageable pieces and haul it all away, bringing in a crane for rooftop or hard-access tubs when needed. The space is left clear and swept.

We check the access and whether a crane or deck work is needed, then confirm the price, extras included, before we start.
3. We cut, haul, and restore
We cut down and remove the tub, then sweep the space. You pay the quoted price.
Hot tub removal cost
Hot tub removal is quoted for your tub. The quote covers cutting the shell up on site and hauling it away, with the cover, steps and frame too if you want them gone.
A crane or deck work costs extra when a tub needs it, and either is in your quote before we start. Tell us the tub's size and where it sits when you call.
How hot tub removal works
- Power off (your part). Have the tub's power disconnected before we arrive. If it's hardwired, book an electrician for this.
- Cut up on site. We cut the tub into sections that can be carried through gates and side yards.
- Hauled away. The shell goes, the cover, steps and frame too if you want them gone, and we clean up the area.
If you can, drain the tub a day or two before we arrive.
Can I get rid of a hot tub myself?
You can, but not in one piece. Metro Vancouver's disposal facilities surcharge any single object over 100 kg, 2.5 metres long or 1.2 metres wide, which rules out a whole tub (Metro Vancouver Disposal Ban Program Manual, checked 21 September 2026). City large-item pickups don't help either: they collect from the curb only, and some exclude hot tubs outright, Delta's among them (City of Delta, checked 28 September 2026).
So a do-it-yourself removal means disconnecting the power, cutting the tub into sections, and making several trips with a truck and helpers. That's the part we do for you, on site, in one visit.
Decks, tight backyards, and crane access
Hot tubs on raised decks, behind fences, or in backyards with no truck access are routine for us. Because we cut the tub up on site, it comes out in pieces we can carry. For the rare tub that cannot come out any other way, we can bring in a crane, quoted as an extra before we start.
