Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Metro Vancouver Moving & Junk Removal website or book our moving and junk removal services. By using the site or requesting service, you agree to these terms.

Quotes and pricing

Prices shown on the website are estimates to help you plan. Your final price is confirmed in person before any work begins and depends on the actual volume, weight, access, and materials involved. Disposal (dumping) fees are set by Metro Vancouver transfer stations and passed through at cost. Applicable taxes (5% GST) are added to the final price.

Booking, scheduling, and cancellation

We schedule jobs based on crew availability, and same-day service is offered when crews are nearby. Please let us know as early as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel so we can offer the slot to another customer.

Items we do not handle

For safety and legal compliance, we do not haul certain materials, including drywall, asbestos or suspected asbestos, hazardous liquids and chemicals, and other restricted materials. These must be handled by specialized facilities under Metro Vancouver and WorkSafeBC rules. If you are unsure about an item, ask us before your appointment.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information about your job, ensure safe and legal access to the items or property, secure any required building bookings or parking, and confirm that items to be removed are yours to dispose of. You are responsible for removing valuables and personal documents before we begin.

Payment

Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed. We accept major credit cards, debit, certified cheque, and e-transfer.

Liability

We take care to protect your property and belongings. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not liable for pre-existing damage or for items you ask us to move against our recommendation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
