How we price a job
Every junk quote we give is one price, and the dump fees are already in it.
What sets the price
How much junk there is and what kind it is. Stairs, upper floors and buildings without an elevator cost nothing extra.
Dump fees — included
The transfer station or landfill charges us to take the load. That charge is part of your price, never a separate line added at the end.
If you would rather take a load in yourself, each of our city pages lists the published rates for the nearest public facility, with a link to the source.
How we work
- We answer our own phones. No call centre and no dispatch queue. The person who takes your call is the person arranging the job.
- The price is confirmed on site. We look at the actual pile before any work starts and confirm the number. If it is not what we quoted on the phone, you hear it then, not afterwards.
- We sort before we tip. Metro Vancouver bans a long list of materials from general garbage and surcharges any load containing them — sometimes for a single item. Separating those out is what keeps a load cheap, so we do it as part of the job.
- Some pickups are free. Appliances, scrap metal and end-of-life vehicles cost you nothing. Appliances and vehicles are banned from general garbage anyway, and all three have their own recovery routes.
- Seven days a week, with same-day work often possible during business hours.
What we don’t claim
Plenty of junk removal companies advertise a recycling percentage. We don’t, because we have no way to evidence one, and a number we cannot stand behind is worth less than an honest answer. Here is what we can tell you instead.
- We don’t promise donation. Usable items sometimes go to donation, but we can’t guarantee it for any particular piece. Everything else goes to the appropriate facility or recovery program, and we will tell you which one.
- We do not publish a diversion rate. Recyclable and product-stewardship material gets separated because the facilities surcharge loads that contain it and because those return programs are free — not because of a target we advertise.
- We tell you when a load has to be split. Used drywall, for instance, is only accepted at certain facilities. You hear that before the day rather than at the scale.
Where we work
We cover 19 cities across Metro Vancouver and into the Fraser Valley, from Vancouver and the North Shore through Burnaby, the Tri-Cities, Richmond and Delta, out to Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford.
