We assess the home, agree on what stays and what goes, and confirm a price before starting.

3. We sort, recycle, and clear

We work through the home carefully, handle recycling and disposal, and leave it ready. You pay the agreed price.

You should never get a bigger bill because a job was emotional or large. We quote estate cleanouts up front, with recycling and disposal included — no add-ons at the end.

What an estate clear-out includes

• The whole home, including basements, garages, sheds, and yards
• Sorting keepsakes and documents from items to clear, with the family deciding what stays
• Recycling what can be recycled and disposing of the rest at sanctioned facilities
• Leaving the home cleared and swept, ready to list or hand over

What happens to the belongings

The family decides what stays. Anything you want to keep, sell, or pass to relatives is set aside before we start. After that:

• Usable items are sometimes donated. We can't promise that for any particular piece, so if something matters to you, arrange its donation before the clear-out day.
• Appliances go to BC's provincial appliance recycling program or a Metro Vancouver recycling and waste centre (see free appliance pickup).
• Recyclables are separated and recycled.
• The rest is disposed of at sanctioned facilities.

We work with whoever is responsible for the property, whether that is a family member, an executor, or a realtor preparing a listing. One point of contact and one upfront quote keep it simple.

If you live out of town, we can work from a key or a lockbox, so you don't have to be there on the day.
