Tsawwassen moves are mostly long-held family homes, plus newer builds and apartments. On Tsawwassen First Nation lands, some streets have four-hour weekday parking limits, so we plan where the truck can stop before moving day. Locally owned, with better labour prices than the big franchises, no hidden fees, and we answer our own phones.
Tsawwassen is a neighbourhood within the City of Delta, BC.
Tsawwassen sits at the southwest tip of Delta, near Boundary Bay and the BC Ferries terminal. In the 2021 Census, Statistics Canada's Tsawwassen population centre had about 24,000 people in 9,970 homes: 60% were single-detached houses and 25% low-rise apartments, and 24% of households rented.
Part of Tsawwassen is City of Delta and part is Tsawwassen First Nation lands, where newer neighbourhoods have been filling in: on TFN lands, about a third of residents (730 of 2,120) had moved in the year before the Census. Many Tsawwassen moves are downsizing moves out of long-held family homes, while the newer builds draw people in.
Long-held family homes. Downsizing moves are common here. Homes near the water can have long driveways or tight access, so tell us how far the door is from where a truck can stop. We move what's going and can haul away what isn't in the same booking.
Newer builds and apartments. On TFN lands, some apartment buildings have signed loading zones for large trucks and vans by the entrance. In a strata, book the elevator and send us the window.

As a rough guide, a one-bedroom move takes 3 to 4 hours, a two-bedroom 4 to 6 hours and a three-bedroom 6 to 9 hours. If you need to cancel a booked move, the deposit isn't refunded, but it can be moved to a new date.
Condo moves: you book the elevator and loading bay with your building. If your strata charges a fee for the move, BC's Strata Property Regulation allows a fee for using common property only when it is reasonable and set out in a bylaw or a ratified rule (section 6.9, checked 1 October 2026).
On Tsawwassen First Nation lands, TFN's parking plan puts some streets on four-hour parking, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and makes some smaller streets No Parking on the side without parking bays. The aim is to stop spillover parking from high-density developments and ferry passengers and keep two-way traffic moving. Next to apartment buildings, custom signs set aside space for emergency vehicles, passenger pick-up and small deliveries, garbage pick-up, and a loading zone for vehicles including large trucks and vans; use that loading zone where your building has one.
On City of Delta streets, Delta's rules apply. If you're putting a moving or storage container on the road, ask Delta Engineering (604-946-3260) about a Highway Use Permit first.
For moves toward Richmond and Vancouver, we plan around George Massey Tunnel traffic; timing affects how long an hourly move takes, not the price. Ladner and North Delta are short drives (movers in Ladner, movers in Delta). Local moves are priced by the size of the home, as the table above shows, with no travel fee.
We also move households within BC and to Alberta. Long-distance moves within BC currently run $2,000 to $9,000, and moves to Alberta $3,000 to $10,000, depending on the size of the home and the distance.
