Moving in Langley depends on which Langley: the Township is mostly houses, townhouse complexes and acreages, while the City of Langley is mostly low-rise apartments. We plan for both, from long driveways and the Township's lane rules to apartment moves in the City. Locally owned, with better labour prices than the big franchises, no hidden fees, and we answer our own phones.
Langley is two municipalities with very different homes. In the 2021 Census, the Township of Langley was 48% single-detached houses and 22% row houses, and only 18% of its households rented. The City of Langley was the opposite: 59% of its homes were in low-rise apartment buildings, and 37% of households rented. Across both, about 20,000 residents had moved in the year before.
So a Langley move might be a Willoughby townhouse, a Walnut Grove or Murrayville house with a full garage, an acreage with outbuildings, or a City apartment around Willowbrook. Many are families moving out from closer to Vancouver, which makes the drive between homes part of the plan.
Townhouse complexes. In Willoughby and Walnut Grove there's no loading bay, and visitor parking is the limit. Tell us where a truck can legally stop and how far that is from your door.
Houses. Murrayville, Brookswood and Fort Langley have mature lots, real driveways and full garages. Tell us what's in the garage and the shed, not just the house.
Acreage. Long, gravel or soft driveways through Milner, Salmon River and Campbell Valley decide which truck fits, and barns and workshops often sit well back from the road. Tell us in advance so we bring the right vehicle.
City apartments. Willowbrook and the City centre have low-rise rental buildings; tell us the floor and whether there's an elevator.

As a rough guide, a one-bedroom move takes 3 to 4 hours, a two-bedroom 4 to 6 hours and a three-bedroom 6 to 9 hours. If you need to cancel a booked move, the deposit isn't refunded, but it can be moved to a new date.
Condo moves: you book the elevator and loading bay with your building. If your strata charges a fee for the move, BC's Strata Property Regulation allows a fee for using common property only when it is reasonable and set out in a bylaw or a ratified rule (section 6.9, checked 1 October 2026).
In the Township of Langley, vehicles can't be parked in a lane, except an attended commercial vehicle that is actually loading or unloading and leaves 3 metres of road clear. Parking on the boulevard isn't allowed, nor within 1 metre of a driveway or 5 metres of a hydrant or community mailbox, and no vehicle may stay in one spot on a street for more than 72 hours.
In Fort Langley's village core, the streets are narrow and parking is difficult, especially on summer weekends; a weekday is much easier for a truck.
Many Langley moves come from closer to Vancouver, so the drive between homes is part of the day. There's no travel fee, and local moves are priced by the size of the home, as the table above shows.
Langley is also on Highway 1 toward the Fraser Valley and the Interior, and we move households within BC and to Alberta. Long-distance moves within BC currently run $2,000 to $9,000, and moves to Alberta $3,000 to $10,000, depending on the size of the home and the distance.

Questions
A Willoughby townhouse and a Brookswood acreage are both priced by the size of the home, and there's no travel fee for the drive out from closer to Vancouver. A studio or one-bedroom move is a flat $599, and a 20% deposit ($120) books the date. Two-bedroom homes run $800 to $1,400 and three-bedroom homes $1,200 to $2,000; hourly moves are $120 to $180 an hour for 2 movers and a truck. There is no travel fee.
Yes. Tell us about gravel or soft driveways and how far the outbuildings sit from where a truck can park, so we bring the right vehicle and enough movers.
Yes, while it's actually loading or unloading with someone attending it, as long as it leaves 3 metres of road clear. Otherwise vehicles can't park in lanes in the Township.
Up to four items a year. The Township books online for homes with municipal garbage collection, with at most two mattresses or box springs; the City of Langley takes calls on 604-635-0999 from detached single-family homes. Anything else, we can haul away in the same booking.
Yes. Long-distance moves within BC currently run $2,000 to $9,000, and moves to Alberta $3,000 to $10,000, depending on the size of the home and the distance. We don't move households beyond Alberta.
